Hi everyone! Give my latest YouTube video a watch to see a really easy tutorial for making a DIY elasticated waist skirt. I have used 1 metre of this stunning green pleated velvet from Fabric Godmother (£12 per metre).

Love these quick skirt makes. I’ve done one with some lace and a lining for a wedding outfit. I found some wide black elastic with gold threads and it makes it look like it has a fancy belt. I’ve posted a pic in my FB 2017 makes album.
That is beautiful! I can’t wait to try it for a Christmas party!!! I just bought the Tilly and the Button’s book and am starting the Delphine skirt today!!
Really like the skirt and fabric you used. I have many beautiful fabrics for sale, please will you contact me to discuss.
I am also a very keen sewing enthusiast.
Best wishes
Hi Lizzie. Thank you for this video. I have some beautiful but difficult fabric and can’t wait to try making this skirt. I was wondering where did you get the chalk maker/pen? I’ve looked everywhere (online in USA) but can’t find it.

Hi Maida! I’m so pleased you like my video 🙂 I’m currently using a prym chalk pen that you can find on amazon – https://www.amazon.co.uk/Prym-Chalk-Wheel-Stick-Ergonomic/dp/B00DOXCWFQ/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=prym+chalk+pen&qid=1562492529&s=gateway&sr=8-7
I hope that helps! There are other brands that make them too 🙂
