California Fabric Haul

Hi everyone,

Give this video a watch to see the beautiful fabrics I picked up whilst on holiday in California and to hear what I have planned for them.

Have a look at my California Vlog if you want to see all the footage of my fabric shopping in Britex, Mood, The Fabric Store and the LA Fashion District.

Fabrics I bought:

The Fabric Store

Black & orange stretch fabric
Cotton, lycra and polyester blend
60” wide
$12 per yard (I bought 1 yard)
To make: a stretchy, cosy long-sleeved top that can be dressed up and down. Potentially the Tilly and the Buttons Coco Top but with a higher neckline so that I can wear a long-sleeved top underneath.

Navy blue stretch cotton
90% cotton, 10% lycra
62” wide
$12 per yard (I bought 2.25 yards)
To make: The Tilly and the Buttons Etta Dress.

Mood Fabrics

Herringbone in Marsh
100% Polyproplene
54” wide
$25 per yard (I bought 1.75 yards)
To make: the Sew Over It Coco Jacket, or potentially the Simple Sew Jackie O Jacket.

The LA Fashion District – New Fabric Corner

Some kind of drapey, sheer polyester fabric.
$3 per yard (I bought 1 yard)
To make: potentially a True Bias Ogden Cami, or some kind of floaty summer top. Pattern suggestions are welcome!
